Ski & Snow Camp Japan, Tokio & Hakuba

Ski & Snow Camp Japan, Tokio & Hakuba

Japan is for us one of the most special snow places in the world. The details of its traditional architecture mixed with the snow added to the modernity of the city of Tokyo make a different snow trip.

On the island of Honshu this skiing city with the reputation of the Japanese Alps has witnessed the 1998 Olympic Games. Up to 11m of snow accumulates here every year. It is home to 10 ski resorts with more than 200 slopes.

Hakuba is known as the Tokyo station. Take the Hokuriku bullet train line to Nagano, go on you will have to transfer to a fast bus arriving in three and a half hours to your destination. Tokyo is a pretty modern city with many attractions. The last few days were well spent getting to know the curiosities of streets and enjoying all that the city.

February is the month of winter festivals where many events and festivals are held, such as the Happo-one Fire Festival, or the Hakuba47 Snow Sculpture Festival in the area. This is a great time to visit this place

Searching powder snow

It is located at 742m above sea level. The snow season runs from December to March. Our favourite months to visit this region are January and February. Visiting Hakuba in winter is synonymous with lots of snow and cold. In Tokyo, temperatures range from 2-12oC in winter

Many options for all audiences

Many options for all audiences. We look for the relation quality-price according to the date in which we go. Lodges are a good option. We like to analyse the group and choose the accommodation to suit us. Sometimes the priority is comfort and sometimes the price. If you go as a couple, we look for the best option depending on your objective, as Hakuba offers a wide range of accommodation. Another good option is to stay at Lodge Jun for a more mountainous experience.

How to get here

The easiest way to get here is to fly to Tokyo International Airport, Nerita (NRT), but you can also get to Haneda Airport (HND). To move to the station area we will do it with the means of transport of the city itself. The bullet train and a fast bus.

Ski and snowboard courses. Guided Freeride Outings
The experience does not depend on your level. You have different places to learn or increase your technique, passing through many "secret spots" of virgin snow.

Snowboard & Ski - Level A

The station offers different initiation areas for easy progress. The quality of the snow offers many epic days on which to indicate yourself. Level A is for beginners; someone who has never snowboarded/skied or has only done so a few times. We'll start from the basics to give you a solid foundation in snow sports and equipment. This is a perfect destination for your first snow trip, you'll certainly have a real experience in the snow that will last in your memory forever.

Snowboard & Ski - Level B

The station is perfect for this level as the main objective is to gain km under our feet. The good thing about it is that you can get to know all the sectors without leaving the blue tracks and thus improve your technique by enjoying the different areas. The B level Ski & Snowboard course is about taking you to the next level, we want to get you off the green slopes so that the mountain opens up at your feet. This is when you really start to enjoy the mountain. Be careful, this feeling can change your life!

Snowboard & Ski - Level C

Learning to feel the singing, we want to help you feel safe with speed by controlling the turns. It's all about building confidence as a snowboarder/skier, working on your style, to make you have more fun and learn to read the mountain better. It can be the stepping stone to off-piste.
